Recreation and Leisure
Recreational opportunities are endless with a variety of programs, organizations, leisure activities, events, and facilities available. Skating and curling rinks, baseball diamonds and fairgrounds, golf courses(Town of Oak Lake and Oak Island Resort), bike park, and playgrounds are a hub of activity during the year.
You can take your children to the parks and playgrounds. Playgrounds are located at the Oak Lake School, Oak Island Resort, and Deleau. There are campgrounds located at Oak Lake Beach , Lions Club Campground, and Aspen Grove Campground.

Sifton Recreation, Kim Houston Fitness and S.O.S Lighthouse (through Oak lake Community School) actively co-ordinate events and activities for all ages including fitness programs, general interest courses, children’s activities, and organized sports. A strong sense of community spirit supports numerous annual events held throughout the municipality including: Oak Lake Agriculture Society Fair, the Santa Brunch, Annual Ice Fishing Derby, Sifton Harvest Festival, Oak Lake Winter Festival, Deleau Baseball Tournament, Annual Curling Bonspiels, and Canada Day festivities and Oak Island Resort.

**To help us plan effectively, all programs require pre-registration and pre-payment. Programs will only run if minimum participation is met.**
HOW TO REGISTER
You can register by filling out the child or adult consent form and emailing back to rec@rmofsifton.com. Cheques for programs can be made payable to RM of Sifton or an e-transfer can also be sent to finance@rmofsifton.com with participants name and name of the program. If preferred, registration forms can be dropped off at the Municipal Office at 293 2nd Avenue West or mail payment along with registration form to : RM of Sifton c/o Sifton Recreation Box 100, Oak Lake, MB, R0M 1P0. Registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Full payment and completed consent form is required to confirm your registration. **Refunds will not be issued if notice is given less than 7 days before start of the program.**
