Property Assessment
Understanding Your Property Assessment
Property assessment is the process used to determine the assessed value of your property for property taxation purposes.
Your property's assessed value is one of the factors used to calculate your property taxes. Your assessed value and your property tax bill are not the same thing.
What is included in an assessment?
A property's assessment may take into consideration factors such as:
- Location
- Lot size
- Building size and characteristics
- Age and condition of buildings
- Improvements to the property
- Sales of comparable properties
- Other characteristics that affect the property's value
Need information about your property?
Residents can access property assessment information and review details about their property through the Manitoba assessment system.
