Our Recreation, School and Child Care
In addition to the above, RM of Sifton boasts a newly renovated Community Hall with a fully-equipped Community Commercial Kitchen. Also in Oak Lake is the Oak Lake and District Arena, and curling rink. Oak Lake is home to the K-8 Fort la Bosse Community School and Oak Lake Care Center. The OLCC1 (original building) is going to be home to our school age program as well as casual care and a nursery school. Our new Oak Lake Care Center Building (OLCC2) just welcomed 50 spaces for kids as of December 16th, 2024. It is a 74 space children's care facility that is such an incredible addition to our community. Also located in the OLCC2 is Home Counselling and Wellness, which offers mental health support within our community. They will start seeing clients as of February 2025.
Our Business Directory
Within the RM are many small businesses such as the Oak Lake Arena canteen (seasonal), Valleyview Co-op, Fusion Credit Union, district museums, Fedora Antiques Store in Oak Lake, seasonal restaurants like the Creamee in Oak Lake Beach, Joe Dandy’s Drive-In in the town of Oak Lake. The Town of Oak Lake Golf Course will now be a fully licensed venue starting February 2025. It will offer lunches and dinners, and the occasional day will be open for breakfast.
